At first the idea was to focus on peer pressure and how it affects young people, both within thier friendship groups and outside of them. The tasks were fairly split: Hannah doing the filming, myself and Deqa taking the role of actresses and Salma doing the directing. The editing and finalities were done as a group.
In terms of production paper work, I personally found the Treatment most helpful as it got us to outline the main focus of what our clip would be talking about and what kind of atmostphere we would have to try and create.
It was the first time I'd ever been involved in using camera equipment that extensivley and so it was really interesting to see how it worked. We included the 180 degree rule and match on action as directed and purposley filmed in a dark setting in an attempt to connote secrecy and underhandedness.
The idea of peer pressure as a focus evolved in the way that instead of making a definite background story, it was decided to leave that upto the audience as it was only meant to be a short clip. The aaudience could assume that due to the yellow bag that Deqa passes to me ,we're dealing drugs and I'm being pressured into participating.
Hence the target audience would definitley be thierteen year olds plus as it adresses problems that that age group may come across.
In terms of technical glitches, we learned (after a lot of run throughs) that when shooting shot reverse shot, its better to do one side of the persons conversation and then switch to the other person or the shots wont line up because of peoples movements.
If I were to improve my techical skills, I can definitley say I would've liked to be able to have the skill needed to add non- diagetic sound to the clip as it wouldve added tension to the atmostphere.
